If you have a 4 yr old or any kid for that matter, then you know just how bossy they can be sometimes.

When they want something they will beg and pester and stick their hand on their hip and look at you with the, “do you know who I am” look.

Then they will bug you a little more. You will either cave in and give them what they want to just make them be quiet, ( guilty ), or you will stand your ground & say “NO?” one more time and remind them who is BOSS! (Also guilty ?)

Now, whether you believe it or not, you have a real enemy that scripture says to, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
1 Peter 5:8 NIV

It also says in scripture, he’s an accuser and I know first hand how big he can make my problems seem and make me forget everything I know to be true about God in the first place. If Satan is really on my case He will even make me forget temporarily whose boss over this world and my world in particular.

Finally, I get fed up enough, and I will open my Bible to find out who really is “Boss” aka GOD, and remind the enemy who he is messing with.

I read today, ” instead of letting Satan have the last word in the battle to believe, speak it yourself, borrowing from God’s Own Word in Scripture: ” The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made” (Psalm 145:13)

In the book ‘Break Through Prayer’ by Jim Cymbala he said, God “determines the number of stars and calls them each by name.” What “big” problem are you facing right now that is too hard for him?”

So go ahead, put your hand on your hip, and speak to that mountain, that fear, that insecurity, that thing which keeps pestering you and remind your enemy who is BOSS!
