“In desperate times, much more than anything else, folks need perspective. For perspective brings calm. Calm leads to clear thinking. Clear thinking yields new ideas. And ideas produce the bloom of an answer. Keep your head and heart clear. Perspective can just as easily be lost as it can be found.” Andy Andrews
I’ve been wearing some new glasses today.
They are called “Perspectacles.”
So far with these glasses on I’ve noticed I have many dishes to wash which means we had food to eat and dishes to eat the food on.
I’ve got mounds of laundry which means I have clean clothes to wear and a washer and dryer.
I’ve got dirty floors which means lots of activity and children have been in and out of my home.
I’ve got tree stumps, balls, scooters, helmets and sidewalk chalk in my yard and driveway which means we were kept safe in the storm and resumed our usual outside playtime.
There are school books, dolls and trinkets everywhere which means my kids have been taught, used their imagination and been creative.
There have been approximately 4 meltdowns just this morning over what my little people deemed important, which means I have confident opinionated children who won’t be afraid to stand up for what they want out of life.
I think I’m going to have to wear these “Perspectacles” more often. Otherwise, things don’t look quite as good
