Hey Friends and Happy Friday to you!
All week my brain has been overload preparing for some upcoming speaking engagements and commitments. When I’m getting ready for these types of events I like to listen to worship music that stirs up my faith and encourages my soul. Along with great music, I tend to read and study with more focus and listen to podcasts and sermons that will inspire me.
These downloads of wisdom fill the time I am doing mundane tasks like washing dishes, folding laundry, cleaning out the car or even while I’m exercising.
I have a Bluetooth headset like this one I connect to my phone or laptop and listen to music or messages all the while I am hands-free.
So here are my favorite’s for the week in regards to music, podcasts and sermons.
1. Planet Shakers
or their song Prophecy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRaROfHyiYg
Elevation church worship is also amazing and this song For A Moment has been on repeat as well.
2. On Audible I have been listening to the book 168 Hours You have more time than you think.
3. In regards to sermons, I have downloaded the Living Proof Ministries Subsplash app on my android phone and have enjoyed this series by Beth Moore.
4. As for workouts I’ve been doing The Shift Shop on Beachbody on Demand
It’s usually during my morning workout session that I mute the trainer and listen to the sermon, podcast or music. Just whatever I am in the mood for.
This doesn’t work for everyone I realize, but it’s what works for me and helps keep my mind in the right place so I can do all the things I think the Lord is calling me to do.
When you feel stuck, or in a rut, try turning on some good music, listen to an audio book or a sermon. It will get your mind off your problem and most likely help you find the solution you need to solve your problem. Chances are someone has already been through what you have gone through and they have the tools to help you get to the other side of your issue.
Now it’s your turn!
What are some of your Friday Favorites that have helped you get through the week?
