Here is my first post in a series I’d like to call “Friday Favorites.”
In an effort to become a more consistent blogger and share the things I’m totally into that may be of service to you as well, I’ll be sharing 5 of my favorite things I’ve been enjoying or learning from this week.
1. Book I just finished on Audible –
I recently learned about Mo Isom and watched her youtube videos and IG stories and I knew I needed to read her book. At first, I honestly thought this book is too much and she is so passionate, but the more I listened and then finished the book I thought every woman and man needs to get this book. It’s powerful, packed with truth and will leave a lasting impact on your view of sex and how God intended it.
2. Quotes I’m Pondering-
Grit – Having perseverance and Passion for long term goals. Challenging yourself despite your fears. It’s being resilient. It’s having the willingness to fail, fail again, in to feel better until you finally succeed.- Mindful Life
3.Homeschooling Supplies –
I started researching on Pinterest about different STEM activities and I found all these supplies at the local Dollar Tree. If you’re not familiar with STEM – it stands for Science, technology, engineering, in mathematics.
The fancy definition is -“STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons as students apply science, technology common engineering common in mathematics and contacts that make connections between school, community, work, in the global enterprise enabling the development of Stem literacy and with it the ability to compete in the new economy.(National Science Teacher Assoc. )
4. Book I’m Reading
If you are a communicator in any way get yourself a copy of this book. I am learning so many new practical tips to crafting a message and delivering it with more focus and clarity.
5. The workout I’m attempting
I’m on week 5 of this 6 week workout program Liift4 by Team Beachbody. I like that it gives me 3 rest days and I love that the workouts are 40 minutes or less. I definitely will be doing another round of this one since I have not been as consistent as I need to be.
